Old Navy Super C-A-S-H UPDATE for those in Hurricane Irene's path...

Remember the Super C-A-S-H event at Old Navy, where you get $10 in Old Navy cash to spend between 8/25 and 8/29 for every $20 you spent between 8/1 and 8/18?  

Well, I went in to my Old Navy store today to redeem my "cash" and get my oldest daughter some pants (can't keep up with how fast she's growing!).  There was a sign on the door that said because of Hurricane Irene coming through the area they'd accept the "Super C-A-S-H" until 8/31.  I didn't see this advertised on their website or facebook page but the sign was at my store in Sturbridge, MA.  If you were in an area affected by the hurricane, you should call your store to see if they are accepting the cash.

Fake Coupons - please read

Loyal Barcode Butterfly subscriber, Pat S. from Clearwater, Florida wrote and asked me the following question: "How can I tell if a printable coupon is fraudulent?" If you like shopping, have you ever thought about mystery shopping?  After my 2nd child was born, a good friend told me how she began shopping and getting paid for it.  Now, don't believe all those websites that tell you, you can make a full time income off this but there is definitely money to be made.  Here are some tips to becoming a successful mystery shopper: NEVER pay money to a company that promises you'll have access to thousands of shops.  There is at least one legitimate company out there who does ask for money but you can really find the information for free if you do the digging.   Make sure you only list the facts on your shopping reports.  The companies really aren't interested in your opinion but they do want to know exactly what happened when you conducted the shop.
